Remote Claude

A product that lets you drive a Mac development environment from an iPhone by text and voice. Written, designed, built and sold end to end by one person.

The problem

A development environment is tied to the desk it runs on. Being away from the machine means the work stops, even when the next step is something that could be described in a sentence.

Make it possible to start and steer real work on the machine at home from a phone, without a laptop, a VPN client or an API key.

What I built

A setup, packaged and sold as a guide plus an Apple Shortcut, that connects an iPhone to a Mac running a coding agent. Instructions arrive by email after checkout. The product has its own sales page and its own storefront listing.

How it works

The phone side uses iMessage and Siri as the interface, so there is no app to install and nothing new to learn. Text is the primary path on purpose: voice is the nicer experience, and the text path keeps working underneath when voice does not.

My role

All of it, and that is the point of listing it: Eric wrote the setup, built the Shortcut, designed and wrote the sales page, and set up the storefront and the delivery. Apple supplies iMessage, Siri and Shortcuts; the coding agent on the Mac is Claude Code. What was built is the bridge between them and the product wrapped around it.

The hard part

Choosing the boring interface. Voice is the demo, and voice is also the thing that fails in a noisy room, mishears a filename and cannot be corrected halfway through. So text is the primary path and voice rides on top of it, which means the product still works on the day the fancy part does not. Shipping it with no app to install was the other constraint: anything requiring a download would have put a week of App Store between the idea and a buyer.

Claims, and what backs each one

  • Remote Claude is a real product that is publicly for sale.

  • Eric is publicly credited as its creator, under his real name.

    EvidenceThe product page credits him by name as its creator in the body and again in the footer. This is a public statement, and it is first-party, because Eric controls that site. The name used there is not reproduced on this site.

  • It is delivered automatically after purchase, as a guide and an Apple Shortcut sent by email.

    EvidenceThe product page's own FAQ states that checkout confirms payment and that the PDF and Shortcut links arrive by email within minutes.

Results from client deployments are shared with permission on a call.

What I learned

Sell the smallest thing that works end to end. This is a PDF and a Shortcut, not a platform, and it was on a storefront taking money in a fraction of the time an app would have taken to reach review.
